Today we’d like to do a special feature on Madison Rose, who arrived on June 8, 2012 to our past CA, Crystal! For those of you who remember, Crystal left us in November 2009 to start her career as a Prenatal Coach, and she has since become one of the stars of the Vancouver birthing community.
Crystal has been preparing for Madison for a few years – and part of that preparation involved weekly chiropractic adjustments. Her husband Rich has also been getting checked. Many men who are planning for fatherhood do not understand the importance of prenatal wellness and Conscious Conception from their end. Basically, it takes cells from two people to create a child, and therefore it’s best if BOTH people are healthy and well. Rich is a Registered Holistic Nutritionist who specializes in allergies, so he definitely knows what to do for his health!
Madison arrived after a long birthing process (over 100 hours!), but she is doing wonderfully. Crystal birthed at home with no complications despite the long labour, and Dr. Jassal made house calls to check her, sometimes twice a day, during this time. Many of our pregnant moms choose to have Dr. Jassal on call during labour, and he is always happy to visit them in the hospital or at home.
We got a fantastic photo of Dr. Jassal checking Madison for the very first time. What do you think? You can see how gentle the adjustment is for a newborn, using just the little fingers on each hand (just about the pressure you’d use to test the ripeness of a mango or peach).
If you have questions about what chiropractic can do for you and your baby through your pre and post natal times, please feel welcome to contact us at the clinic. We would love to book a consultation with the doctor so you can meet him in person and learn more about how we can help you!
